The thing is, I don't want to leave without everyone else. Not now I know that they're all in danger if they stay behind. And also... I think that if I left, I wouldn't be able to come back either, because the Incubators would just keep trying to get me. I'd have to move away for good unless I thought of a way to outsmart them properly.

I think that's more or less how it works, yes. I mean... I've been keeping a tally in my notebook, so that even if I can't remember anything else, I can keep track of how many timelines go by. There's already five marks in there since I first came up with the idea, so... something must keep happening where I don't really have a choice.

If I may offer a suggestion? If you reach a situation where you have to make a wish, write down what the wish is and what problem you were trying to solve. That way we can get a picture of what they've done and what you've tried. The more information we have, the more likely it is that we can find a pattern.
