It's a long story... and kind of complicated, too. I'm not sure I even understand a lot of it myself.

Okay, thank you. And um, actually, I haven't even made a contract yet. But I know that there's people who are going to try their best to make me do it, and I'm not sure if I'll be able to avoid it.

Basically... on my world magical girls are real. It's different to how it is in anime, though. Puella Magi get their powers by making a contract with the Incubators. You can make any wish you want, and in exchange you have to fight monsters called witches. Only, what they don't tell anyone is that sooner or later, all Puella Magi turn into witches in the end.

... according to another Puella Magi I met the other day, if I contracted I'd eventually become the most horribly powerful witch ever. So I was wondering if there could be a way to outsmart the Incubator and find a loophole of some kind if I ever got into a situation where I didn't have any choice except to make a wish.

Mm, I guess so... I'd probably still have to think carefully about the exact wish, though. If I just made everything worse by trying to change things, that'd be terrible. It's a good idea, though. At least, I think so.

Yes, that sounds like a wise decision. If one does not word a contract in the correct way, it could leave them with a heavy disadvantage.
